A. Objectives:
* At the end of the lesson, students can:
 + Introduce yourself and meet the other person's introduction.
 + Listen to choose the correct picture in the content.
* Contents: + Vocabulary:
 + Grammar: Review The simple past and ‘wish’ with simple past
* Skills:
 + Introduce yourself to the other, listen then choose the correct picture.
 + Play role and make other dialogues, talk about Carlo.

- Greeting and checking the attendance

- Call one student to write new words.
- Call another to read the text.
III. New lesson. (35’)
A. Speak
1. Pre - speaking 
- Explain the request and introduce the context of the dialogue.
- Ss read these sentences and put these sentences into the correct order.
- Ss work in pair to read the dialogue.
2. While- speaking 
- Students take turns to be one of Maryam’s friends to make similar dialogues.
- Mapped dialogue.
- Some pairs speak base on the dialogue in part 1.
- Correct their mistakes.
3. Post- speaking
- May call a good S. to go to the board and write. 
B. Listen.
1. Pre - listening: 
- Ask Ss to look at the pictures and find the differences: what is the differences between picture 1 and 2 in a,/ b,/ c,?
- Write on the board in brief.
- Explain the situation and request.
2. While- listening: 
- Let Ss listen to the script tape twice then choose the pictures.
- Listen again to check the answers.
- Call some students to read before the class.
- Correct and give the right answers.
3. Post-Listening;
- Listen to the audio-CD again and check the correct pictures.
IV. Feedback. (3’)
-Review the main content of the lesson.
V. Homework. (2’)
- Do exercise 2,3 in workbook.
- Prepare for the next lesson ‘Read’.

I. Speak
1. Put the dialogue in correct order and copy it into your exercise book. Then practice with your partner. 
 1 – c, 5 – b , 4 – d, 2 – e, 3 – a, 6 
2. You are talking to Maryam’s friends. Introduce yourself. Make similar dialogues.
* Example: Yoko from Tokyo, Japan.
You: You must be Yoko-Maryam’s friend.
Yoko: Yes. That’s right. I am.
You: Pleased to meet you, Yoko. Let me introduce myself. I’m Lan’s classmate.
Yoko: Pleased to meet you, too.
You: Are you enjoying your stay in VN?
Yoko: Yes, very much. I like Vietnamese people because they are friendly. I love old cities in VN like Hue, Ha Noi, ...
You: Is Ha Noi different from Tokyo?
Yoko: Yes. The two cities are the same in some ways. They are both big and busy capital cities.
You: Oh! I see.
Yoko: Have you ever been to Tokyo?
You: No, I haven’t.
Yoko: Come and visit my city one day.
You: Thanks.

* Write it up:
Yoko is one of Maryam’s friends. She comes from Tokyo, Japan. Tokyo is the same as HN capital. It is a big and busy city. Last week Yoko came to stay with us. We took her to some tourist attractions like Van Mieu, HCM’s Mausoleum, the History Museum, ....She likes .... She loves 
II. Listen

 2. Don’t pick flowers.
b, 1. Go by the 103 bus / the bus number 103.
 2, Go by the 130 bus / the bus number 130.
c, 1. Eat in Mexican restaurant.
 2. Eat Hamburgers.
* Tim Jones’s pen pal, Carlo, is visiting the USA. Listen to their conversation and check (v) the number of the correct pictures.

Tim: Are you hungry, Carlo ?
Carlo: Yes.
Tim: Okay, Let’s go to a restaurant downtown. If we go through the park, we can catch a bus on Ocean Drive.
Carlo: That is fine. I really like walking in the park. You are lucky to have a place like this close to your home. It is so beautiful with all the trees and flowers and a pond in the middle.
Tim: Carlo! Be carful. You are walking on the grass. The park keeper is growing some more – you will kill the new grass!
Carlo: Oh, sorry. I didn’t see the sign.
Tim: Come on. It is time we can caught the bus.
Carlo: Is that our bus, Tim ?
Tim: No, That is a 103 bus. We want the number 130.
Carlo: Where are we going to eat ?
Tim: It is up to you. There is a new Mexican restaurant in town.
Carlo: Oh, no. I can eat Mexican food at home. I love American food. I’d rather eat hamburgers.
Tim: Okay. I know exactly where we need to go!
