OBJECTIVES: By the end of the lesson, students will be able to listen to: + Listen and fill in the missing words in the weather forecast. + Write weather forecast. II. PREPARATIONS: Textbook, posters, cassette III. PROCEDURES: TEACHER’S ACTIVITIES STUDENTS’ ACTIVITIES 1/ Warm-up: (6’) Chatting - Have Ss listen a weather forecast program, and find out what aspects of weather forecast are mentioned. - Lead to the lesson. - Listen and find out. + weather + temperature - Listen. 2/ Pre-listening: (15’) - Draw a mind map about “Weather forecast” to teach vocabulary. - Check vocabulary: “Rub out and remember” - Have students remins the numer from 1 to 35. - Ask Ss to guess the information in the table. - Pay attention, read and take note. - Do as directed. - Remind. - Guess the information. 3/ While-listening: (15’) - Play the tape for students 2 times, and ask Ss to check the gaps with missing information. USA’s famous places San Francisco Chicago NewYork Washington - Lead to the lesson. - List the name of some states of the USA. - Listen. 2/ Pre-reading: (14’) - Hang on some pictures of some scenic spots in the USA and ask Ss to match them correctly. - Teach vocabulary. I. Vocabulary: volcano (n): núi lửa lava (n): dung nham overhead (adv): phía trên đầu pour out (v): phun trào carve (v) : khắc prison (n): nhà tù Wharf (n): cầu cảng - Check vocabulary: R.O.R - Observe and match. 1. It is the mount where the heads of four American are carved into the rock; and it can be seen from more than 100 km away. d. It is also called “The Windy City”. e. She went shopping. - Do the task in groups of four. - Give feedback. - Read the postcards again and answer the questions in groups. - Give the answers. 4/ Post-reading: (8’) - Elicit grammar fron the postcards. * Past progressive: 1. The lava was pouring out when we flew overhead. S + was/were +V- ing + (O), when +S + V(ed/ 2) 2. While Dad was visiting the Statue of Liberty, I went shopping. While S + was/ were +V-ing +(O), S +V (ed/ 2) - Pay attention and take note. 5/ Homework: (2’) - Have Ss: + Learn vocabulary by heart. + Read the posters again and do Language focus 2. + Prepare “Write”. - Write assignments. IV. COMMENT: Week : 27 Date of preparation: 02/03/2015 Period: 81 Date of teaching: 05/03/2015 CORRECT TEST 3 I. OBJECTIVES: By the end of the lesson, T will be able to know how they did in their test. They can also know all their mistakes they have made in the test. They will have experiences for the next test. II. GENERAL EVALUATION: 1. The result of the test: Class Good Fair Average Weak Bad 8A3 8A4 8A5 8A6 2. The test: - Phần phát âm một số em vẫn chưa phân biết được cách phát âm khác nhau giữa các âm. - Phần trắc nghiệm: đa số các em đã nắm được dạng bài tập này, tuy nhiên một số học sinh cũng chỉ làm đươc 4-5 câu. - Bài đọc hiểu: kĩ năng đọc hiểu của một số em có tiến bộ. - Bài viết lại câu: chưa nhiều học sinh làm tốt phần này, chữ viết còn cẩu thả, khó đọc. 3. The method of the teacher: - Cần tăng cường cho các em làm bài tập luyện viết, và phát triển kỹ năng đọc hiểu. - Tăng cường hơn việc kiểm tra bài cũ. - Các em vẫn chưa có ý thức tự giác trong học tập, chưa cố gắng trong việc học bài và làm bài ở nhà, khả năng tư duy và nhớ bài vẫn chưa tốt. III. PROCEDURES: 1. Playing test students. 2. Ss check their tests. 3. Discussion. 4. Comment: - Một số em có cố gắng và tiến bộ trong bài kiểm tra, cần được tuyên dương, như: + Lớp 8A3: .. + Lớp 8A4: . + Lớp 8A5: .. + Lớp 8A2: .. IV. RESULT SUMMARY: - Kết quả thấp hơn so với bài kiểm tra số 2, vẫn còn một số em còn chưa học bài, chưa nắm được một số kiến thức cơ bản. - Số lượng học sinh đạt điểm khá giỏi chưa cao, tỉ lệ bài đạt điểm trung bình thấp và vẫn còn một số em có điểm kém. - Kĩ năng viết lại câu và trả lời câu hỏi còn chưa tốt, chữ viết còn cẩu thả, khó đọc.
