I. Objectives

GETTING STARTED & LISTEN AND READ
I. Objectives
1. Knowledge: By the end of the lesson, Ss read for details about how to express interest.
a. Vocabulary: Related to “Traveling around Viet Nam” harbor, 40-minute drive, water buffalo, crop, sugar cane, corn.
b. Grammar: Would you mind + V-ing? / Would you mind if I + V(past simple)
Present participle
2. Skills: listening, speaking very less reading and writing
3. Attitude: Ss will be educated about the love of our country.
II. Preparation
1. Teacher: lesson plane, book, color chalks, pictures, cassette and tape
2. Students: books, notebooks, pen, ruler 
III. Teaching methods
- Communication approach	
- Question and answer, eliciting
- Techniques: Ask and answer, Work in pairs/ groups, Discuss.
IV. Procedures:
1. Greeting and checking the attendance (1’)
2. Review of the previous lesson (4’)
Ss do the exercise: Choose the ways to reduce garbage and protect the environment.
a. We should use vegetable matter to make compost.
b. We should use cloth bags instead of plastic bags.
c. Millions of old car tires are thrown away every year.
d. We can reuse things like envelopes, glass and plastic bottles, and old plastic bags.
e. Students should go to school on time.
f. Students should collect used papers for recycling.

* Warm-up “Chatting”

- You are a tourist on vacation in Ho Chi Minh City. You want to visit a market. This is the conversation between you and the tourist officer.
- Put the dialogue chart on the board.
Elicit the exchanges from Ss and have them repeat.
- Have Ss open their books and use the information on page 101 to practice other dialogues.

- T puts the map on the board and asks Ss to identify the places.
- T plays the smart pen 2 or 3 times.
- T tells Ss to work in pairs to compare their answers.
- T gets Ss to give their answers and correct
- Ss work in groups ( 4 Ss )
- T corrects if necessary.
