- Says “We have discussed the things that used to be and the way they are now . We’re going to listen to a dialogue between Nga and her grandmother used to do when she was a young girl . You listen to the tape and write the names of the things she had to do.”
II.PRE-PRACTICE: 
- Asks Ss some questions Who told you stories when you were a child? 
+ Did your mother go to school when she was a child ?
+ Did she help her mom with house work ?

- Plays the tape one time.

II. PRE-LISTENING
- Explains some new words:

- Checks understanding of the new words by using the technique: “what and where”.

- There are a lot of VNamese folktales which have precious moral lessons . 
- We are going to listen to one of those stories .

III.WHILE-LISTENING: 
 - Plays the tape and asks all sts to listen and catch the main idea of the story to choose the most suitable moral lesson.
- The teacher doesn’t require them to present exactly words from the tape Just asks them to express or use their own words to present the content of the story 
- Collects the ideas and gives the content of the story 
-Asks “what moral lesson do you get from it ?
- Plays the tape and pauses to check understanding 
- Asks 4 groups to tell a story and gives marks for their content , fluency and accuracy.
- Gives feedback and corrects.

2) Write a story.
One day as I was in the field and my buffalo grazed nearly, a tiger appeared. The tiger asked why the story buffalo was my servant and I was its master. I told the tiger that I had something called wisdom. The tiger wanted to see it, but I told it I left it at home. Then I tied the tiger to a tree with a rope because I didn’t want it to eat my buffalo. I want to get some straw and I burned the tiger. The tiger escaped but today it swill have black stripes from the burns.
