We’re going to listen to a dialogue between Nga and her grandmother used to do when she was a young girl . Moral lesson do you get from it ? - There are a lot of VNamese folktales which have precious moral lessons . - We are going to listen to one of those stories . - You listen to it and decide which of the followings is the most suitable moral lesson . a) Don’t kill chickens b) Don’t be foolish and greedy. c) Be happy with what we are . d) It’s difficult to find gold III.WHILE-LISTENING: - Plays the tape and asks all sts to listen and catch the main idea of the story to choose the most suitable moral lesson. - The teacher doesn’t require them to present exactly words from the tape Just asks them to express or use their own words to present the content of the story - Collects the ideas and gives the content of the story -Asks “what moral lesson do you get from it ? - Plays the tape and pauses to check understanding - Asks 4 groups to tell a story and gives marks for their content , fluency and accuracy. - Gives feedback and corrects. IV.POST-LISTENING - Asks the Ss some questions: 1. Whom did the farmer live with? 2. What did he do one day? 3. What did he discover? 4. What did he decide to do? 5. How was the result? - Play a game ( pelmanism ) - Focus on the teacher’s explanation and write down. - Play the game with the teacher’s guiding. + Yes , yes Cindrella , “Sleeping beauty” + The Prince . They can develop their story-telling . * Language function: The students get some words usually used in folktale * Educational aim: The students will have a lesson of little pea and stout nut . A lot of Vietnamese folktales have precious moral lessons . 1. Language: a. Vocabulary : cruel, upset, fairy, magical, rag, to fall in love with, immediately. b. Structures : Once past form of verbs 2. Skills: Integrated skills : Gap – filling, answer questions (speaking) 3. Education factor: They will be sure that who lives friendly and works hard will have a good life, or happy ending. II. Teacher and Students’preparation: 1. Method: Communicative Approach : 2. Techniques: Explanation, pairwork, open prediction, gap-filling. 3. Materials needed: text books, pictures, chalk, etc 4. Students’ preparation:Pictures, new lesson. 5. One day as I was in the field and my buffalo grazed nearly, a tiger appeared. The tiger asked why the story buffalo was my servant and I was its master. I told the tiger that I had something called wisdom. The tiger wanted to see it, but I told it I left it at home. Then I tied the tiger to a tree with a rope because I didn’t want it to eat my buffalo. I want to get some straw and I burned the tiger. The tiger escaped but today it swill have black stripes from the burns. 4. Homework: ( 1m) - Asks the Ss to describe or write your story and learn vocabulary. 5.
