- After the lesson, Ss are able to listening to a conversation to understand how to make a meal by listening, speaking, reading and writing skills.

Date of preparation: 12/09/2013 Week:5 Period : 13 Unit 3: AT HOME Lesson 1: Getting Started - Listen and read I. Objectives: - After the lesson, Ss are able to know some information about Nam and Mrs.Vui and complete exercises by listening, speaking, reading and writing skills. II. Languague content: - New languague: Some information about Nam and Mrs Vui . - Grammar: + The simple past. + The simple present. + Be going to + V III.Teaching aids: - extra board, pictures, textbook. IV. Procedures: Teacher’s activities Students’ activities Content T: asks Ss to look at the 6 pictures on p 27 and answer the question “What is she doing ?” T: asks some students to answer the questions in front of the class to check their understanding T: asks Ss to pronounce some words to check their pronunciation. T: leads to the new lesson : Today we are going to learn a dialogue about what Nam has to do at home -Checking vocabulary: Rub out and remember Set the scene: “Mrs Vui is Nam’s mother. They are talking on the phone.” Teacher corrects speaking mistakes Teacher asks Ss to read the dialogue silently Teacher asks Ss some questions: -Who often cook dinner at home? -But tonight who will cook dinner ? Why? Nam will have to cook dinner tonight. What things Nam has to do? Teacher collects the answers and then corrects them T: monitors , helps Ss to correct speaking mistakes - Have Ss talk the chores they often do at home. - Give feedback. Objectives: - After the lesson, Ss are able to talk about the position of furniture in the kitchen and in the living-room by listening, speaking, reading and writing skills. II. Languague content: - New languague: Some information about furniture at home. - Grammar: + The simple present. + Preposition III.Teaching aids: - extra board, pictures, textbook. IV. Procedures: T’s activities Students’ activities Content - Teacher shows some real objects in the classroom and asks: T: introduces the new lesson: Today, we are going to talk about the position of furniture in the kitchen and in the livingroom. Checking vocabulary: What and Where - Teacher asks Ss to look at the picture (P28) and asks: - Teacher reminds some prepositions: in, at, on, next to , above, under ........ - Teacher checks and corrects T:Set the scene: Teacher shows the picture and asks: -Where is it ? - It’s in the living room -Is it tidy ? - No , it isn’t - Mrs Vui bought new furniture for her living room, but she can not decide where to put it.
