Teacher says: Last period we’ve learned the post office vocabulary.

Let’s play Jumbled words!

Ss : Ok

- Teacher presents and organizes the game:

 Ss spend one minute working in groups.

Teacher calls Ss in each group to stick the paper on the board.

Teacher gives the mark for Ss to write well.

2. Pre – reading:

* Preteach:

Teacher says: Today we add to more post office vocabularies.

Ss write them on notebook

Teacher helps Ss read.

Ss read aloud (one by one)

Teacher asks Ss to check:

Slap the board.

Calls from 3 to 5 students to go to board.

Teacher hangs the pictures with the words which Ss have just learnt on the board.

Teacher read in English with each word.

Ss listen and slap the board quickly.

Lesson 4: B – At the post office. (B2,B3)
I.Aims: Helps Ss read a dialogue to understand the details,
further practice in “need / would like” and post office vocabulary
make a new dialogue basing on the dialogue in student’s book. 
II.Objectives:
	By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to:
read a dialogue to understand the details
further practice in “need / would like” and post office vocabulary
make a new dialogue basing on the dialogue in student’s book. 
Contents:
- Model sentence about the price, the polite requirement
And the post office vocabulary.
III.Way of working.
	- communicative – explain – ask and answer – pair work- pair group.

	T’s book, Ss’ book, tape, cassette, chalk, laptop, projectors, and poster

The board

Teacher presents: Last period we learned some model sentences to communicate in the post office.
T gives the picture.
Sets the scene:
This lesson we are going to listen the dialogue between Hoa and Nga.
They are on the way to the post office. Can you guess the things Hoa needs from the post office?
Spend 2 minutes guessing
Teacher calls one student to write the guessing on the board.
3. While – reading:
Teacher says: 
To know your guessing is True or False. We will listen the tapes twice.
Ss listen and check.
T gives the keys.
- Teacher asks Ss to practice reading the dialogue . 
(work in pairs) and answer the
Questions from (a) to (c). Then read aloud before class or write the answer on the board.
Then Teacher gives the keys 
And Ss compare.
- Teacher asks Ss to complete the dialogue and then read aloud before class.
4. Post – reading:
Teacher says: To further practice with those words and model sentences in the post office. 
Let’s read the dialogue between Hoa and a post office Clerk and complete with some missing information.
Ss look at the dialogue and complete.( work in pair)
T gives the key.
Ss look at the key and check.
Calls Ss to read the dia again and again.
Teacher repeats how to use the polite requests with would like/ need/ want..
Ask and answer about the price with To be and verb ordinary.
Teacher says:
To understand the situations in the post office by speaking.
Let’s look at the form and make up a similar dialogue with the visual things at the post office.
Teacher and one Ss to make the dialogue before class.
Other Ss listen and work in groups.
Spend 5 minutes making.
Teacher says:
Would you like to play Lucky color?
Ss: Ok.
Teacher gives the rule
Divides the class into two groups.
Teacher calls two Ss to select number to play before.
Teacher says: Which fruit do you like?
Group 1: Apple
Group 2: Banana
Teacher sticks the picture of Apple andBanana on the board.
Teacher says: Let’s begin playing?
Ss: Ok.
Teacher notes the lucky color.
Teacher notes:
Red: Lucky color
Purle: Make up similar dialogue
Blue: Present
Yellow: Present
Green: Make up similar dialogue
Orange: Make up similar dialogue
Pink: Make up similar dialogue
Black: Lucky color
Teacher checks the dialogues.
5. Homework:
- Learn by heart new words
- Write a dictation: B2,3
- Prepare Unit 8 (B4,5).
Teacher opens the tape to sing a song. “ Bye.”

4. Answer the questions:

a) Hoa needs some local stamps and some stamps for overseas mail and a phone card.
b) Because she has a penpad in American.
c) Because she phones her parents once a week.
III. Practice:
1. Complete the dialogue:
Hoa: I would (1) .five local stamps
 and two stamps for America.
Clerk: Here you (2) Is that all?
Hoa: I also need a fifty thousand dong phone card.

Clerk: That (4) seventy- five thousand dong.

S1 : I need to send this letter to the USA. 
 How much is it?
S2 : It’s 10,000 dong
S1 : And I need a 30,000 dong phone card.
 How much is that altogether?
S2 : That’s 45,000 dong
S1 : Thank you.
S2: You’re welcome.
