Presentation:
- Set the scene, introduce the commands, using pictures to express.
- Play the tape for the SS.
- Explain new words.
- Ask SS play game “slap the board: “đi vào, mở sách ra, đứng lên, ngồi xuống, đóng sách lại”
Listen to the teacher without opening the books.

- Explain how to from a command.
- Let them practice the commands together.
- Ask them to write the commands in their exercise notebooks and memorize them.

Consolidation:
Play game “Mime Drill”.

Content Presentation:
- Ask students to look at the pictures on page 23 and guess it is a city or a countryside.
- Show SS people, places and the conversation they have in the pictures.
- Let SS listen to the cassette and then repeat, part by part.
- Pay attention to the pronunciation, the linking sounds.
- Read the dialogues then ask students to repeat in chorus.
- introduce the structures and explain.
- Introduce the letters from A to Z.
- Mark the 4 letters that don’t exist in the Vietnamese alphabet f, j, w, z; and the differences of the two English letters [e, i] in pronouncing.
- Play the tape for the SS.
- Ask students to repeat in chorus.
- Note on some difficult letters: G, H, J, U, W, X, Y, Z, E, I.
- Ask them to read the alphabet.
- Let them repeat letters them write.
Look at the pictures and listen to the teacher’s explanation.

3. Listen and repeat:

Practice:
-Ask students to practice the dialogues with their partners. 
- Ask some students to practice before class.
- Write some cities on the board then ask students to practice in pairs.
- Ask some pairs to practice before class.
- Correct their mistakes. 
- Ask students to use the structures to practice asking and answering about themselves.
- Teach them the alphabet song.
