I. OBJECTIVES: 
- By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to:
+ Listen the names of the goods in the pictures.
+ Read the dialogue between Nam and his Mom. 
+ Write the shopping list.

1/ Warm-up: (8’)
Hang on the picture, make up questions.
What are they?
- Ask Ss to listen and match.
- Call out the pictures.
I. Listen:

2/ Pre-reading: (10’)
- Elicit new words.

- Check remembering vocabulary: R.O.R
- Set the scene, and have Ss guess “What does Nam’s mother need?”.
- Guess the meaning, and practice.
- Do as direction.
- Listen, and guess.
3/ While-reading: (18’)
- Have the students listen to A4 and ask the students to work in groups and check the things Nam’s mom wants him to buy.
- Ask Ss the questions with “How much?/ How many?”
- Listen and check.
III. Reading:

+ Revise the words of food and drink.
+ Listen the food and drink in the pictures.
II. PREPARATIONS: Textbook, pictures, cassetle, computer (P.P.T)

1/ Warm-up: (8’)
Kim’s game
- Divide class into four groups and ask Ss to play the game.
- Introduce the lesson: “Last period we learned some food and drink; today we are going to cntinue learning with them”.
- Play the game.
- Listen.
2/ Pre-speaking: (15’)
- Show the picture on page 119 on the board and ask Ss to write down 6 of them.
- Have Ss listen.

- Elicit new words from pictures.

- Ask Ss to work in pairs and practice asking and answering what food a person has for breakfast/lunch/dinner, using the structure “What would you like for breakfast/lunch/dinner?”.
- Have some pairs role play in front of class.
- Correct their mistakes if necessary.
- Work in pair.
- Speak.
4/ Post-speaking: (8’)
- Have Ss make a survey asking and answering about their friends, using the structure “What would you like for breakfast/lunch/dinner?”
- Call some Ss to give the feedback.

- Use some pictures to teach new words.

- Check “Rub Out And Remember”.
- Have Ss listen the dialogue, then practice. 
- Elicit the structure of asking and answering about the price.
II. Structure:
* How much + to be + S?
* S + to be + Price.
Ex: How much is an iced-cream?
 It is two hundred dong.
 How much are a sandwich and a glass of lemon juice?
 They are two thousand five hundred dong.
- Listen and guess the meaning.
- Listen and do as directed.
- Listen, and practice in pair.

3/ While-speaking: (14’)
- Ask Ss to work in pairs and practice asking and answering about the price in B5,using the structure of asking and answering about the price they have learned.
- Call some pair to get feedback..
- Correct their mistakes if necessary.

4/ Post-speaking: (7’)
- Have Ss role play.
* Example:
A: Can I help you?
B: Yes. I’d like an ice-cream.
