OBJECTIVE: By the end of lesson Ss will be able to: talk about their room. ● Sentences patterns: Where is it/ are they?- It’s./ They’re.. ● Vocabularies: floor, mirror, desk, near. ● Phonics: chairs, bed II. MATERIALS: Text book, Picture, cassette, workbook III. PROCEDURE: Time Teacher's activities Students' activities 5’ I. Warm up: Play game: Lucky Number. - Whole class. 15’ II. New Lesson: 1. Listen and Repeat: * Set the scene. + Call Ss to tell about the picture you see? + What can you see in the picture? + What is this in picture? + Guess the dialogue by the scene of picture in the book. - Open the tape and listen the sound of the words. - Turn on the tape three times and ask Ss to listen and repeat. - Tell Ss how to pronounce chairs and bed - Call some Ss to read aloud before class. - Guide sts to practice the dialogue. + Call Ss to work in pairs + Read aloud the dialogue before class again - Individual. + Things + Answers the questions. - Listen and repeat. - Read aloud before class. - Work in pairs. 13’ 2. Listen and tick: - Pre- listen : Ask Ss to tell about the pictures + Tell Ss the way to listen - While listen: + Ask Ss to listen to the tape and choose which picture they hear is correct then tick. + Play the tape three times to listen. + Listen and tick the correct picture. - Collect sts’ answer - Check and give the correct answer, open the tape once and check. - Listen to the tape carefully and tick picture you hear - Ss listen and take note - Compares. - Listen and give their answers in the class 2’ III. New Lesson: 3.Read and draw - Introduce the room - Instruct how to read the text - Let students read the text individually - Have sts read and understand carefully - Call some sts to read again. - Ask sts how many things there are in the room and their positions. - Call some Ss give answer in front of the class. - Ask sts to draw the things in the room in the correct position. - Check - Listen - Listen. - Individual - Read individual in front of class. - Draw - Listen. 10’ 4. Look, listen and repeat. + Call Ss to tell about the picture you see + What can you see in the picture? + What are they doing? + Guess the dialogue by the scene of picture in the book. - Open the tape and listen the sound of the words. - Turn on the tape three times and ask Ss to listen and repeat. - Call some Ss to read aloud before class. - Guide sts to pratice the dialogue. + Call Ss to work in pairs + Read aloud the dialogue before class again. - Answer the questions. - Guess the dialogues. - Listen and repeat slowly. - Read aloud. - Work in pairs. 18’ 2. Write: - Guide sts to do this task - Ss look at the picture in the book then talk about the things in this room - Remind some words in the box. - Ask to read the text and then complete the missing words - Work in pairs - Some pairs stand up and read their sentences. - Ask to give their comments and then give correct answers. *Key: 1. two 2. picture 3. desk 4. lamp - Pay attention to the teacher - Make a list of things in the room - Revise - Do as directed - Work in pairs. - Present their answer - Listen and take note 8’ 4.
