- Ask Ss to sing a song “The wheel on the bus”

Part 1,2,3 Objects: After the lesson, students will be able to : How to focus stress and intonation Practise listening and reading skill Language focus: Vocabulary: avenue, flat Grammar : stress Teaching aids: Teaching aids: Flashcard, recording, poster Resources: student’s book ( p.10) Procedures Warm up Give flashcard Vietnamese words and ask Ss say English Listen and repeat Ask Ss to look at activity 1 Tell how to pronounce stress words and sentences Play the recording some times and ask Ss to listen and repeat Divide class into 3 group and ask Ss to read each group and correct mistakes 2. Listen and circle a,b. then say the sentences aloud Ask Ss to look at activity 4 and guess blank information Suggest this activity Play the recording twice and ask Ss to listen and circle Have Ss give the answers and correct Check their answers. Play the recording again and ask Ss to listen and repeat 3. Check their answer Announce the winner Write about your friend. Give Ss a card Name Country Address What is His/ her hometown like? Have Ss listen and repeat the short conversation between Quan and Tom ( twice) Have Ss play role to read the dialogue in groups. Call some pairs to read the conversation. Check Ss’ understanding: What do you do in the afternoon?. 2. Point and say Ask Ss to look at the picture Say: “ You are going to practice ask and answer question “What do you do?” in different situations. ” Have Ss work in pairs to practice. Do a picture as a model. T: What do you do in the morning? S: I always brush my teeth. Call some pairs to read in front of the class. Correct mistake if necessary 3. Let’s talk Have Ss look at the book and work in pairs to ask and answer about your daily T give example for Ss Call on some students to show in front of the class. Check and correct. Part 4-5-6 Objects: After the lesson, students will be able to : Practise reading and listening skill Sing a song fluency Language focus: Vocabulary: Teaching aids: Teaching aids: Flashcard, poster Resources: student’s book ( p.10) Procedures Warm up Play game: “slap the board” Introduce the game Divide class into 3 group and play game Announce the winner Listen and tick Guide this activity for Ss and Ask them to look at the pictures to identify the characters and their activities. Play the recording all the way through for pupils to listen and tick the pictures. Play it again for them to check their answers. Monitor the activity and offer help, if necessary Get pupils to compare their answers before checking as a class. Play the recording a third time to confrm the answers. Key: 1 c 2 b 3 b 4 a Read and complete Explain the activity and ask Ss to play game “lucky number” There are six numbers and only one number is lucky number. Others is questions. Introduce the game Check their answers and announce the winner. Key: 1. Do 2 usually 3 play 4 TV 5 like Call some Ss to read Let’s sing Tell the class the song This is the way we do things. Have pupils read each line of the lyrics and teach the unfamiliar words. Check comprehension Play the recording all the way through for pupils to listen and follow in their books. Play it again and ask pupils to do choral repetition line by line. When pupils are familiar with the melody, ask the class to sing along with the music before having them practise singing and doing actions in groups.
