Presentation - Ask Ss to look at the picture and describe - Introduce the content of the dialogue - Introduce the new words From, Viet Nam, America, Australia, Japan, China - Give the pattern: Where are you from? I’m from. - Play the recording, Ask pupils to listen and repeat. - Call some pairs to read aloud the dialogue. - Correct the pronunciation. 3. Pratice - Have Ps look at the pictures. Ask them to identify the characters in the pictures. - Call on good Ss as model Hi. I’m .. Production - Make a few questions to check comprehension of the language - Have the whole class repeat all the phrases in chorus to reinforce their pronunciation 5. Warm- up - Ask Ss to go to the board to write the counties - Ask and answer the question: Where are you from? 2. Pre- listening - Ask pupils to identify the places in the pictures - Let Ss read the names of the countries. - Tell pupils that they are going to listen to the recording and tick the pictures they hear. 3. While- listening - Play the recording 2 times. - T give the answer. - Call some pairs perform in front of class. Others observe. -Correct the pronunciation. 4. Japanese Malaysia - Let Ss pay attention to the letters coloured differently. - Have Ss learn to produce the sound of the letters “ J, V” in the words Vietnamese, Japan - Play the tape and ask Ss to listen. - Play the tape again and ask Ss to repeat each line of the text in chorus. - Have Ss read in groups/ in pairs. 3. While-listening - Have Ss look at the words in part 2 (p. 16) to identify where they are and set up the task. - Play the recording 2 times pupils to listen and tick the boxes. - Play the recording again pupils check their answers. - Check and correct. - Have some ss retell. 4. Post-listening - Ask Ss to say the name of the characters - Let sts look at the words of the chant then read aloud - Play the recording + Guide sts to read each line of the chant + Ask one group of 6 in front of the class sings, the rest clap the hands + Have whole class chant again 5.
