I. Objectives
1. Education aim: Students should know the weather in the countries around the world
2. Teaching aim: By the end of the lesson, students can:

Objectives: Should know about some beautiful sight – seeing around the world. II./ Language Contents: 1 – Vocabulary: To be included in; come over; pick someone up; abroad 2 – Grammar: The past progressive tense. III./ Techniques: Eliciting, asking and answering, T/F. IV./ Teaching aids: pictures, cassette, sub board V. Procedures : Teacher’s activities 1. Warm up: -Hang the pictures / flags: - Give the name in the box. - Correct and explain some answers. - Ask students some questions about the places - Have students work in pairs match the name with the pictures 2. Presentation: -Have students listen to the dialogue. - Have students read the dialogue again and give out some new words -Explain new words. New words: * to be included in * ticket price (n) *come over; *pick someone up; * abroad -Guides students how to read new words. -Have Ss read the dialogue and ask some questions. Who are talking in the conversation ? / Where are they now ? - Let students listen to the tape. 3 .Practice: - Have Ss work in n groups complete Mrs. Quyen’s schedule. Production: - Tell Students to read the dialogue again and pick out the statements indicating the following situations: 1. Making an invitation. 2. Accepting an invitation. 3. Declining an invitation. 4. Making a complaint. - Call on them to give their answers and have them copy. Answers. 1. Making an invitation. “Would you like to come and stay with us?” 2. Bangkok will be warm and dry, with a low of twenty four degrees centigrade and a high of thirty two. 5. New York is going to have a windy day. It will be cloudy with a low of eight and high of fifteen. 6. In Paris it will be coll and dry today. Warm – up. - Have students work in pairs to write as many famous interesting places in the world as they could. - Call some students to give feedback. 2. Comment on theme of the test : The test is suitable for the students’ knowledge. There are three requirements in the test : recognization, understanding and application,they are suitable for three types of the students : poor students, fair students and good students. 3. Comment on teacher’s teaching: Teacher helped students revise the knowledge from unit 9 to unit 11 carefully. Teacher guided students how to learn and to remember the grammar structures, vocabulaty effectively. The teacher gave a lot of exercises for students to practice . However, students didn’t pay attention to studying. They didn’t revise the old lesson before doing the test, so their result is not good. III. PROCEDURES 1.
