OBJECTIVES:
Teaching aims: By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to use “This / That” to introduce about school, classroom or someone.
PREPARATIONS: Book, cassette player and tape, pictures

1. Warm - Up: (5’)
- Ask Ss to play game “Jumbled words”
 + lleho = hello
 + mnae = name 
 + treste = street
 + yict = city
 + pesll = spell
2. Presentation: (15’)
- Ask Ss to look at the picture.
- Introduce the new words:
 + student (n):
 + school (n): 
 + teacher (n):
 + desk (n):
 + classroom (n)
 + That is ….= that’s ….
- Ask Ss to practice new words. 
- Introduce new structures, using pictures.
+ This is my ………….
+ That’s my …………..
+ Is that your ……………? 
 [ Yes/ No. That is/ this is ………
+ Is this your……….?
 a Yes/ No. That is / this is ……..
- Let Ss repeat after the teacher.
- Ask questions:
 + What does he do?
 + Is it his school? 
 + What does he say?
- Explain how to use This/ That: This is …./ That is …
- Emphasize on the intonation of the YES - NO questions.
+ Rising tone in YES - NO questions. 
+ Falling tone in answers. 
3. Practice: (15’)
- Ask Ss to look at the pictures.
- Ask Ss to practice the dialogue with partner.
+ This is my school.
+ That is my classroom.
+ Is that your teacher? – Yes. That’s my teacher.
+ Is this your desk? – No. That’s my desk.
- Call some Ss to practice in front of class.
- Correct their mistakes.
4. Production: (8’)
- Ask Ss to the dialogue part 1/p.26, make a similar dialogue about themselves.
Ex: I’m ……… This is my ………….
 That’s my ………
- Call some pairs to practice in front of class.
- Correct the mistakes.
5. Homework: (2’)
- Ask Ss to learn by heart vocabulary and practice using “This / That”.
- Have them prepare next lesson Unit 2: C2, 3/p. 28
- Work in groups.
- Look at the picture.
- Listen and write.
- Practice.
- Listen to the teacher’s explanation.
- Repeat after the teacher.
- Answer questions.
- Listen to the teacher’s explanation.
