A.	GRAMMAR 
1. So sánh bằng của tính từ hoặc trạng từ
S + V + as + adj/ adv + as + ...
So sánh bằng của tính từ hoặc trạng từ, bằng cách thêm as vào trước và sau của tính từ hoặc trạng từ đó.
as + adj/ adv + as
Ex: well —> as well as
Lan learns Japanese as well as he does. Lan học tiếng Nhật giỏi bằng anh ấy.
Ở hình thức phủ định:
not as/ so + adj/ adv + as
Ex: cold —> not as cold as, big —> not as/ so big as
Nha Trang City is not as cold as Hue.
Thành phố Nha Trang không lạnh bằng Huế.
2. So sánh bằng với as.....as và so sánh không bằng với not as... as (not so....as)
- Hình thức so sánh bằng được thành lập bằng cách thêm as vào trước và sau tính từ (adjective) hoặc trạng từ (adverb). Ta dùng so sánh khi có hai người, hai vật, hai sự kiện được đưa ra để so sánh, as... as được dùng trong so sánh bằng nhau.
not as... as hay not so... as được dùng trong so sánh không bằng nhau. Hai loại từ được dùng trong so sánh bằng nhau và không bằng nhau là trạng từ và tính từ.
Để so sánh hai người hay hai vật giống nhau ta dùng as... as
s + V + as + adj/ adv + as + N/ pronoun
Ex: Nhung is as old as I am. = Nhung is as old as me.
Nhung bằng tuổi tôi.
3. Cách dùng the same as và diferent from
Để nói về sự giống nhau hay tương tự nhau, ta dùng
(be) the same as + N/ Pronoun
Ex: This novel is the same as that one.
Quyển tiểu thuyết này cũng giống như quyển tiểu thuyết kia.
Để nói về sự khác nhau, ta dùng:
(be) + different from + N/ pronoun
Ex: Her lifestyle is different from yours.
Cách sống của cô ấy khác với cách sống của bạn.
My hairstyle is different from my sister’s.
Kiểu tóc của tôi khác kiểu tóc của chị gái tôi.
4. Cấu trúc đồng tình: too và either
a) too (cũng, củng vậy, cũng thế). Được đặt ở cuối câu.
too được dùng trong câu mang nghĩa khẳng định.
Cấu trúc:
- too dùng để diễn đạt sự thêm vào.
s + V... + and (Mệnh đề đầu) + s + V, too
Ex: I like apple juice and I like tea, too.
Tôi thích nước ép táo và tôi củng thích trà nữa.
- too dùng để diễn tả sự đồng tình, đồng ý.
S + V...
S + V, too.
Ex: He is hungry. Anh ấy đói.
I am hungry, too. Tôi cũng vậy.
b) either (cũng không) đặt ở vj trí cuối câu.
either dùng trong câu mang nghĩa phủ định.
Cấu trúc:
- Diễn tả sự thêm vào.
S + V (not) + ... and S + V (not) + ... either.
Ex: I don’t like the blue shirt and I don’t like the yellow one either.
Tôi không thích chiếc áo sơ mi xanh và cũng không thích chiếc váy vàng.
- Diễn tả sự đồng tình, đồng ý.
S + V (not) + ... S + V (not) + either.
Ex: I don't like meat. Tôi không thích thịt.
I don't, either. Tôi cũng không.
Nhận xét: too, either có chung những đặc điểm sau:
1) Khi trong mệnh đề chính có động từ be ở bất cứ thì nào thì trong mệnh đề phụ cũng dùng từ be ở thì đó.
Ex: He is hungry. I am hungry, too.
I don’t like the white skirt and I don’t like the red one either.
2) Khi trong mệnh đề chính hay mệnh đề đầu (The first clause), nếu có sử dụng động từ đặc biệt, ở mệnh đề sau (mệnh đề phụ) của câu đó sẽ được dùng lại động từ đặc biệt theo sau chủ ngữ nhưng phải hợp với ngôi số và chủ ngữ đứng trước nó. Những động từ đặc biệt là những động từ: be, have, need, dare, can, may, shall, will, ought to, must.
Ex: I should study History and you should, too.
Tôi phải học môn Lịch sử và bạn cũng vậy.
You musn’t do that and he musn’t either.
Bạn không được làm việc ấy và cậu ta cũng không.
3) Trong mệnh đề đầu (mệnh đề chính), nếu sử dụng động từ thường thì ở mệnh đề sau dùng trợ động từ do/ does/ did (tùy thuộc vào chủ ngữ và thì mà ta chọn “do”, “does” hay “did”. Nếu chủ ngữ là ngôi thứ 3 số ít thì ta chọn trợ động từ là “does” còn ngược lại ta chọn trợ động từ “do” đối với thì hiện tại đơn) và được đặt ở vị trí đứng sau chủ ngữ của mệnh đề phụ.
Động từ thường là những động từ không thuộc những động từ đặc biệt như: like (thích), write (viết), swim (bơi), cut (cắt), clean (lau chùi),...
Ex: Ngan likes to play badminton and Phuong does, too.
Ngân thích chơi cầu lông và Phương cũng vậy.
He doesn’t meet Phong and I don’t either.
Anh ấy không gặp Phong và tôi cũng vậy.

WATER PUPPETRY
	Have you ever seen a water puppet show? It is so special and fantastic. It’s a unique Vietnamese tradition. Children love the performance, and tourists who come to Viet Nam greatly enjoy this kind of art. 
	Water puppetry ( Múa rối nước) is a traditional art form. It began in the 11th century. It originated in the villages of the Red River Delta of North Viet Nam. The show is performed in a pool. The puppets are supported by strings under the water and controlled by the puppeteers behind a screen, so they appear to be moving on the water. The puppets are made of wood and then painted.
	The themes of the puppet show are rural: the performances show everyday life in the countryside and folk tales. There are stories about rice farming, fishing, and Vietnamese village festivals.

1. Danh từ đếm được (Countable nouns) và danh từ không đếm được (Uncountable nouns)
1) Danh từ đếm được: Là danh từ chỉ những vật thể, con người, ý niệm,... riêng rẽ có thể đếm được.
Danh từ đếm được có cả hình thức số ít và số nhiều. Chúng ta có thể dùng mạo từ a/ an với danh từ đếm được số ít (singgtilar countable nouns) và các con số hoặc some, any, many, few với danh từ đếm được ở số nhiều (plural uncountable nouns).
Ex: a pen (một bút máy), an apple (một quả táo), three boys (6a cậu bé), some maps (vài bản đồ)
2) Danh từ không đếm được: là danh từ chỉ những chất liệu, chất lỏng, những khái niệm trừu tượng, và những vật mà chúng ta
