Unit 16: LET’S GO TO THE BOOKSHOP

Lesson 1: Parts 3.4.5

I. Objectives: After the lesson Ss will be able to: Make suggestion and response to a suggestion to go some where. Develop: Listening and speaking skills.

- Ss look after , solve problems and study themselves.

- Studious and obedient students and love their friends.

II. Language focus:

- Vocabulary: bookshop, supermarket, post office, cinema, zoo, toys shop.

- Sentence patterns: - Let’s go to the bookshop. – Great idea/ I’m sorry. I’m busy.

III. Teaching methods:

- Communicative approach.

- Techniques: Ask and answer (say individually);Work in pairs/ groups;Discuss.

IV. Teaching aids:

- Teacher’s aids: student’s and teacher’s book, word cards, pictures, puppets.

- Play the CD for the ss.
- Present the way to make suggestion to go to some places and give the response to a suggestion.
- Check some groups.
2. Point and say 
- Give the meaning of new words.
- Check ss’understanding by a game: What and where.
- Do the model task with a student.
 - Check ss.
Reinforcement - homelink:
- Ask Ss to do A,B at home. 
- Play game in 3 groups. Ss look at some pictures of public places.
- Ss say the names of them.places

- Check up the vocabulary in old lesson.
- Give the students five minutes.
- Introduce new lesson.

3.Listen and tick: (10 minutes)
- Ss look at the pictures to identify the shops and objects
- Ss can guess the answer.
- T checks Ss’ understanding.
- T plays the recording a few times. Ss listen to the recording and tick the correct pictures.
- Ss swap their answers before check as a class.
- Reads out the correct answers to the class.
4. Look and write: (10 minutes)
- Ss look at the sentences in a few seconds and guess the words to fill in the blanks.
- Ss do the task independently; T goes around and offers help, if necessary.
- Exchange their answers before check as a class.
- T corrects and gives feedbacks. Call some Ss to read the answer if there is enough time.

5.Let’s sing: (7 minutes)
- Ss to look at the picture and read the song lyrics.
- Read each line of the lyrics and check Ss’ comprehension.
- T plays the recording twice: once for Ss to listen all the way through and once for them to repeat. Pause after each line for Ss to repeat a few times.
- T plays the recording again for Ss to sing along the music.
- Divides the class into two groups. Each group sings the questions and the answers in turns.
- Ss practice singing in groups and doing actions.
- A few groups to sing the song and do actions in front of the class. The rest of the class claps to the beats.
- Ss learn by heart the song

5.Homelink: (3 minutes) 
- Ss practice the sentence patterns 
- Write the new words in your paper:

Ok, now we are going to listen two dialogues and tick the corect picture.
- Firstly, who can tell me “what can you see in picture a, and b in each sentences?”
1. Sweet shop – book shop
2. some books – some pens
3. supermarket – barkery 
4. some vegetables – some drink
- You will listen to the conversations about asking and answering about the toys of someone and then number the pictures in the right order.
- Listen all through.
- Listen and number.
- Listen and check your answers.
- Correct your answers in pairs.
- Report your answers to the class.

- Say about what they will do.
- Ask Ps to look at the pictures and think about the apropriate places and suitable reasons to complete the sentences.
- Ask pupils to do the task in individual.
- Monitor the activity and offer help when necessary. 
- Pair works. Have pupils trade their answers in pairs for correction. 
- Call on some pupils to report their answers. The rest of the class listen and give comments. 
Now, we will sing a song: Let’s go....
- Listen and repeat the lyrics after me.
- Who can repeat?
-Do you like singing competition?
I like to call two groups of six to the front of the class to sing: one group sings the first two lines and the other group sings the third, and the two groups sing the last line. The remaining of the class claps along to the song.
