- Ask Ss to copy the grid down to their notebooks and select six words at random to put them in the boxes.
- Call out the words until there is a pupil getting three words on a straight line crossed out and calling Bingo! He or She is the winner.
II. Activity 1: Listen and repeat. 
- Ask Ss to open their books on P.10
- Ask: Who is this?
 Is Tom happy or unhappy?
- Teach the word “ bored”. It means unhappy using a simple drawing. 
- Play again and ask Ss to repeat each line of the text.
- Divide the class into two groups to play roles.
- Call some pairs to read aloud.
III. Activity 2: Look and say 
- Ask: How are you today?
- Say: “ You are going to practice answering the question How are you in four different situations. ”
- Ask Ss to identify the people and the word in each picture.
- Have Ss work in pairs to practice.

- Model: Call on a pair and ask them to pretend to be Peter and Phong to act out the greeting exchange. Repeat the step but this time have the pair swap their parts. Call on one more pair to act out as Linda and Quan, following the same way with Peter and Phong. Have the class repeat all the phrases in this section.
- Do choral and individual repetition, using the characters’s names.
- Call on some pairs to perform the task at the front of the class. The rest of the class observe and give comments if possible.
- Make a few questions to check pupils’ comprehension of the language.
