Activity 1:Introduce the question and anwer pattern:
- Take one ruler and say:
T: How many rulers? - One 
- Take 4 rulers and say:
T: How many rulers? - One, two, three, four. Four rulers.
- Do again
- Explain: To ask about quantity, use the question: How many.?
 How many rulers?
 pens?
 One ruler / One pen
 Two rulers / three pens
- T uses other objects ( singular and plural objects) to ask Ss
Activity 2:Open the book 
- T asks Ss to open the book P25 
- T introduces pictures by questions:
+ What is this ?
+ What are these ?
+ How many?
- T plays the tape the first time 
- T plays the tape the second time 
- T asks Ss to use the pictures P25 to practice (from 1 to 9)
- T asks Ss to practice in groups 
- T asks Ss to practice in pairs
