Activity 1
 -Ask the students to read the Y&Y’s plan then explain the request from the task.( We will ask and answer about the Y&Y’s plan using the questions below:
When do they…..?
Where do they…..?
What time do they…….?
-Let the students read the dialogue by themselves.
- Ask the students to work in pairs to ask and answer about Y and Y spring activities program.
-Resume the main theory of the present tense.
- Call some pairs ask and answer before class.
-Correct the mistakes if any.
Activity 2
-Explain the what the gerunds are.
V_ing.
-Give some examples.
-Explain how to complete the exercise carefully.
+Look at the table then talk what Ba and Lan like/dislike doing.
-Ask the students to use the gerunds to write about their true lives. 
-Students work in pairs.
Activity 3
*Help the students to review the modals: may, can, could…
+Give some examples.
-Guide the students do the exercise.
-Let the students practice in pairs, in turns.
-Call some pairs to check.
-Correct the mistakes if any.
Activity 4.
*Help the students to review the expressions in the page 55.
-Ask the students to read the expressions on the page 55.
-Read the dialogue then work in pairs to complete.
-Write on the notice books.

 I-Present tense with future meaning.
1. Work with a partner. Ask and answer questions about Y and Y Spring activity program.
a. When do they collect and empty garbage?
 On January 9.
b. Where do they collect and empty garbage?
 At Dong Xuan market.
c. What time do they start and finish work?
 They start at 8 am and finish at 5 pm.
..
With time expressions (next Friday, soon) the present simple and continuous (progressive) are used for definite future arrangements and plans. The time must be mentioned; otherwise the sentence would not have a future meaning.
II. Gerunds: V-ing
+after prepositions (in,on,of,about)
+after some verbs: start, finish, stop, love, like.
Eg: He is interested in playing soccer.
 He likes walking in the morning
 It starts raining
2. Work with a partner.
a) Look at the table. Talk about our friends’ hobbies.
Eg: Ba loves playing soccer and he likes watching TV, too
- Lan doesn’t like playing soccer and she doesn’t like washing up, either.
- Ba loves playing soccer, but he doesn’t like washing up.
(Students’ answers.)
b. Copy the table into your exercise book. Next ask and answer questions with your partner.
Eg: Do you like playing soccer?
 No. I hate it.
 What about you?
 Yes. I love playing soccer.
III. Modals: may, can, could
- Used them for offers, ask for a favor
Eg: May I help you?
 Can you help me?
3. Work with a partner.
a) Use the expressions in the box to ask for a favor. Then practice the dialogues with a partner.
A. can you buy a ticket?
B. Can you take me across the road?
C. Could you help me with this math problem?
D. Can you water the flowers in the garden?
b) Use useful expressions in the boxes on page 55 to complete the dialogues. Then practice the dialogues with a partner.
- May I help you?
- Do you need any help?
- Let me help you.
- That’s very kind of you.

- Prepare the next lesson: Consolidation
