- By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to describe their house, and practice the way to pronounce “s/ z/ iz”.

1/ Warm-up: (7’)
- Use the pictures to check vocabulary.
- Observe and write down.
2/ Pre-writing: (8’)
- Ask Ss to read the words in A4(p.64).
I. New words:

Town >< village
- Explain the structure to describe.
II. Structure:
There is ……, near
- Read the words and take note new words.
- Take note and make sentences.
Ex: There is a rice paddy near my house.
3/ While-writing: (15’)
$ Ativity 1: 
- Ask Ss to listen the tape and write the words they hear in their exercise book.

- Let Ss to look at the pictures and read example
Ex: There is a hotel near our house
- Listen and write the words.

1. Đối với “s” : /s/, /z/
+ /s/: từ tận cùng là t, th,f (gh),p, k.
Ex : cuts cooks coughs chops

+ /z/: trường hợp còn lại đọc là: Ex: pens	rulers bags 
2. Đối với “es”: /iz/, /z/
+ /iz/: từ tận cùng ch,ss x,s(ce), ,sh ,ge. Ex : watches washes misses classes fixes services oranges
+ /z/: còn lại
Ex: goes , does , toes , closes…
