 Tag question

Presentation: (8ms)

- Explain how to form, to use, to read the tag questions.

Forms: Aux. Verb + Personal pronouns.

• A tag question has the same auxiliary as the main clause.

• If the main clause has the full verb be, we use be , in the question tag.

• If the main clause has “have/ has + PP”, we use have/ has in the question tag.

• We use do-does in the present simple question tag and did in past simple question tags.

• We normally put a negative question tag with a positive statement, and a positive question tag with a negative statement.

Objectives :	After finishing the lesson, students( Ss) will be able to practice tag questions, using gerund after some verbs, to talk to their friends about their like or dislike.

1/Warm up: Network (5ms)

Give the network and call Ss to finish

2/ Activity1: Language focus 1,2
 Tag question 
Presentation: (8ms)
Explain how to form, to use, to read the tag questions.
Forms: Aux. Verb + Personal pronouns.

If the main clause has the full verb be, we use be , in the question tag.
If the main clause has “have/ has + PP”, we use have/ has in the question tag.

Intonation
If we are asking a real question, we use a rising intonation.
If we are sure about the answer, we use a falling intonation.
- Give some examples.
Hanh likes apples, doesn’t she?
Nam took you to the zoo, didn’t he?
Practice: (7ms)
Ask Ss to do language focus 1.
Ask Ss to read the dialogue and fill the tag questions.
Call on SS to write the tag questions on the BB.
Correct and give the key.

... wasn’t it?
... do you?
... aren’t we?
Ask Ss to play the roles in pairs.
Ask Ss to do language focus 2.
- Have Ss look at the table on page 45.
- Get them to ask and answer the questions about TV program these people like and dislike using tag questions. 
Example: 
Tuan likes news, doesn’t he?
Yes, he does.
Hanh and Tuan don’t like movies, do they?
No, they don’t.
Call on some pairs to present in front of the class.
Remark and correct their intonation.
3/Activity2: Language focus 3.
Gerund
Presentation: (7ms)
- Revision of gerunds after some verbs.
Form:
like / dislike
+ V-ING (GERUND)
love
enjoy
hate
(mind, finish, suggest, consider, deny, keep on, miss, can’t help, practice)
Example:
- Do you like playing soccer?
- Yes, I do / No, I hate it.
- Do you enjoy fishing?
- Yes, I love it.
- I don’t know. I’ve never try it.
- Remain some other verbs.
Practice: ( 9ms)
Ask Ss to do language focus 3 .
Have Ss ask and answer questions about each item in the box. 
Ask Ss to find the verb and write them on the BB 
Correct 
Guide how to do.
Call on Ss to match the verbs in the third column and second column.
Ask Ss to practice in pairs.
Give the key.
EX: My mother loves watching TV but my father doesn’t. He likes listening to music.
4/Production: (7ms) Language focus4 .
- Have Ss write true sentences about their family members, relatives, friends and themselves.
- Ask Ss to look at the words in the three boxes on page 46 and use them as cues.
- Give example first .
- Give feedback.
Remind some main grammar .
5/Homework: (2ms)
Ask Ss to write some sentences about their friends, using like, love, enjoy + V-ing.
Disadvantages of internet
Listen to how to form tag question.
Copy .
Observe the examples.
Remember the rules and the note.
Read the dialogue and fill the tag questions.
Work in pairs.
Read aloud the key.
Play the roles.
Read the request in exercise 2 on page 45.
Ask and answer the questions about TV program these people like or dislike using tag questions.
-Do the exercises in individually.
Some pairs present in front of the class.
Observe the presentation from the teacher.
Copy .
Give the more verbs asking gerund after them.
Copy.
Observe the examples.
Remember how to use gerund.
Read the request in exercise 3.
Ask and answer about the item in the box. 
Find the verb and write them on the BB.
Match the verbs in the third column and second column.
Practice in pairs
Write true sentences about their family members, relatives, friends and themselves.
Look at the words in the three boxes on page 46 and use them as cues.
Write and present in front of the class.
Listen to the reminding and some mistakes .
Copy the task.
