Lesson 5: 	Section:	Write	
Aims: 	Write an argument.
Objectives :	After finishing the lesson students( Ss) will be able to write one side of an argument with outlines.
Language contents:
Structures:	 Connectors ( firstly, secondly, thirdly, finally, conclusion)
Vocabulary	 : Revision about clothing.
Techniques:	
Teaching aids:	Pictures of activities in class-text book.
Times:	45 ms
Procedures:
Teachers’ activities
Students’activities
1.Warm up :(5ms)
 Chattting
- Ask Ss some questions about their felling when wearing different types of clothing,
especially Jeans.
Pre-writing: (15ms)
 -Introduce the lesson by giving the questions:
1. How often do you wear uniform?
2. How do you fell when wearing uniform?
3. If you have a choice, what type of clothing do you want to wear when going to school? Why do you choose it?
-Explain some new words.
Vocabulary:

Read new words .
* Checking vocabulary ( Rub out and remember)
- Stick or draw the following table on the board.
- Tell Ss that it is the outline to present one side of an argument.
While – Writing : (12ms)
- Ask Ss to go to the board, stick the strips on the correct space.
- Ask Ss to read the topic and outline.
- Ask Ss some comprehension questions .

1. Why does wearing the uniforms encourage students to be proud of their school?
2. How do students feel when wearing uniforms?
3. Do you often think of what to wear everyday?
B
1. What is the topic of the argument?
2. Why should secondary students wear casual clothes?
- Ask Ss to look at the outline on Page 11 and ask them what part of the letter they are going to write (body of the letter)
- Ask Ss to follow the outline to write their own letter.
- Ask them to wrap their letters, compare with their partner’s and correct.
Post- Writing: ( 10ms)
- Choose some letters to correct in class.
-Correct some common mistakes.
Remind the language to present an argumentative writing.
Homework: (3ms)
 Ask Ss to rewrite the composition
Answer the teacher’s questions.
Listen to the explanation .
Answer the questions :
1. How often do you wear uniform?
(Six days a week)
2. How do you feel when wearing uniform?
 ( Convenient ,but I don’t like wearing it) 
3. If you have a choice, what type of clothing do you want to wear when going to school? Why do you choose it?
Copy new words .
Repeat new words .
Play Rub out and remember.
Observe the table and show the connectors in each part.

Go to the board, stick the strips on the correct space.
 Do this task as a game.
Read the outlines and find the topic sentence.
Answer the questions.
 ( Wearing uniforms makes Ss feel comfortable / give them freedom of choice/makes them feel self-confident/ makes school more colorful and lively)
Look at the outline on page 11 and write individually .Then exchange and compare .
Read the good letter.
Remark and find the mistakes.
Listen to the reminding from teacher.
Copy the task .
