+ Listen to the talk on how to live with earthquakes then complete the table.
+ Discuss about how to live with earthquakes.

- Ask Ss to read the table carefully make more useful.
- An expect is giving a talk on how to live with earthquake.Listen to the talk then complete the table.
- Ss read the table carefully make some guesses for the missing words in the blanks.
- Play the tape several times if necessary.
- Ask Ss to compare their answers with a friend.
- Call on some Ss to read their answers aloud.

* Tape- transcript:
If you live in an earthquake zone, you should take sometimes to look around your house. Place heavy books on the bottom shelf of your bookshelves . Block the rollers on your fridge and washing machine to prevent them from moving. Put hanging potted plant in plastic container check the mirrors in the bathroom and bedroom. Make sure they can’t move. Don’t put your bed next to the window. Planning where you are going to be during an earthquake is very important. The first thing to remember is to stay inside. Then you should sit under a strong table or doorway, or stand in the corner of the room.
