A. Objectives: 
* At the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to read a poem about the environment for specific information.
* Contents:
+ Vocabulary: junk-yard, treasure, foam, litter, hedge, folk, nonsense.
+ Grammar: Conditional type 1.
* Skills: 
+ Read the poem about the environment.
+ Match A to B then answer the questions.
+ Know how to avoid the polluted environment.
B. Teaching aids: CD- player, sub-board.

 I/ Organization: (1’)
+ Who’s absent today?
+ What’s the date today?
II/ Checking old lesson: (3’)
- (Optional)
- Introduce the topic of the lesson to Ss by asking the students list some natural disasters.
III/ New lesson: (37’)
1. Pre- reading:
- Show the picture and present the poem
(A mother and her son are having a picnic in a park. The son sees that the place is polluted. He asks his mother about the problems of the pollution. What does the mother think about the pollution?)
- Read the poem and get Ss to give out new words.
- Write them on the board and give meaning of them.
- Read and get Ss to read after 3 times.
- Call Ss to read.
- Remark then get Ss to read them after again.
- Help Ss to review the conditional sentences type 1.
(Be responsible for + V-ing: cã tr¸ch nhiÖm.)
2. While- reading:
- Read the poem again slowly and clearly then give the situations of it. 
- Call some Ss to read part to part.
- Remark
- Show the sub board. 
- Ask Ss to read the poem again and A to B.
- Call some Ss to read the answers aloud 
- Give the correct answers. 
- Ask Ss to work in pairs reading the poem more carefully and answering the questions.
- Call some pairs to practice. 
- Get others to write the full sentences on the board.
- Call Ss to remark.
- Remark then give the correct answer.
3. Post- reading: 
- Ss work in groups to discuss the answer to question 6: What could we do in our school/ house to minimize pollution?
- Explain the requests from Ss.
IV/ Feedback: (2’)
- Sum up the whole lesson

- Guide Ss to study at home.
