Aim:To prepare for the new lesson

1. Vocabulary:

Explanation/ translation

-upgrade (v): /' p'greid/ : cải thiện, nâng cấp.

- promote (v): /promote/ : đẩy mạnh, khuyến khích.

- recruit (v): /ri'kru:t/ : phục hồi, lấy lại sức khỏe.

*Checking: What and where.

 2. Useful language:

- Asks Ss about the conjunctions they may use: First / Firstly/ First of all.; The ; Next ; After that ; Finally ; Because ;so ; Moreover

-Asks and lets Ss review the tense they will use: Present simple and future.

PART A. WRITING
AIMS AND OBJECTIVES:
By the end of the lesson, students will be able to:
- Read and understand the given information.
- Write a paragraph using the given information.
- Use these structures correctly and appropriately
1. Language:
- Vocabulary: Upgrade, Widen, Equip, promote, Advertise, Recruit, Hold.
- Structure:
Conjunctions
Present simple and future.
Passive voice and Active voice.
2. Skills: Integrated skill.
II.TEACHER AND STUDENTS’ PREPARATION:
Method: Communicative approach.
Techniques: Questioning and answering, repetition, individual, pair work, group work, choosing the correct answer, explanation.
Teaching aids needed: Textbook, chalk, blackboard, pictures, pen brush, auxiliary board.
Students’ preparation: The lesson: WRITING
Content:
- Writing information about the preparations for the Asian Games.
- Writing task.
PROCEDURE IN CLASS:
1. Stabilization: (2’)
 - Greeting
 -Checking absence: Who’s absent today?
2.Checking up previous knowledge: No ( check while teaching)

I. WARM UP (7’)
Aim: To help Ss brainstorm about a topic and lead in the new lesson
-Lets ss play The Game: JUMBLED LETTERS
-T hangs a poster ( include 8 words). They are not in order.
-Divides class into 2 groups: A&B (4 members each group) with different color chalks.
-Ss in turn order these letters to make these correct words then write them on the board as quick as possible.
-The group which writes more
correct words firstly, will win thegame.
-T declares the winner and gives gift.
 "Congratulation our champion! A great applause for them!... Here is a little gift for you. Thank you all. Turn back to your seats, please."

 - The whole class read all words after class
 - Lead in:

Aim:To prepare for the new lesson

 For example:
Passive: The bread was sliced by Jackie.
Active: Jackie sliced the bread.

III. WHILE - WRITING (15’)
Aim: To help Ss practise writing skill.
Activity 1:Writing sentences.
-Asks Ss to use information in the box and write meaningful sentences, combining the verbs in column 1 with the phrases in column 2 (p.143) 
- Lets Ss work in pairs.
-Walks around to control and give support if needed.
- Calls out to check the sentences.
Activity 2:Writing a paragraph.
Lets Ss work in groups to write a paragraph about the preparations for the Asian Games.
 "Now I would like you and your group to use vocabulary and grammar points mentioned before to write a paragraph about the preparation for the Asian Games".

IV.POST - WRITING
(10’)
Aim: To help Ss further practise
 Presentation
-Calls out 1 S from each group to talk about their writing.

V. SUM UP& HOMEWORK 
-Ask Ss about what they have learnt.
-HW: Rewrite the paragraph in NBs.
 Prepare for Language focus.
