I. Objectives: - After the lesson, students are able to: 
- Pronounce correctly the sound of the letters “ ay ” and “ng” .
- Listen for specific information.
II. Language focus: 
- Vocabulary: The Sydney Opera House in Sydney, Australia
 The statue of Liberty in The USA
 Big Ben, the clock tower in London, England
 The Great wall in China
- Sentence patterns: - Where did you go?
 + I went to Ha Long Bay.
- Phonics: the letters “ ay ” and “ng”.
III. Resources: CD and radio, students’ book .

I. Warm up
* Have Ss play the game: Slap the map.
 - Ask ss to read all words revised.
HCM City
- Ask them to make a sentence with the words.
- Give comment.
II.New lesson:
1. Listen and repeat. 
- Have Ss look at the picture in part 1.
- Let Ss pay attention to the letters coloured differently.
- Have Ss learn to produce the sound of the letters “ ay” and “ng” .
- Play the CD and ask Ss to listen.
- Play the CD again and ask Ss to repeat each line of the text in chorus.
- Have Ss read in groups/ in pairs.
- Check some ss.
2. Listen and tick. 
- Have Ss look at the pictures in part 2 to identify the famous places.
- Present the new words.
 then set up the task.
- Have Ss listen and do the task.
- Have ss listen again to check.
- Call some Ss to give it out on the board.
3. Reinforcement:
- Have ss sing the song : A train trip.
- Explain the meaning of the song after looking the song on the book.
- Have ss listen to the song for the first time.
- Ask them to listen again and reapeat line by line.
- Ask ss to sing the whole song.
- Call ss to sing and check.
III. Homelink:
- Ask Ss to do exercises in C, D (WB) at home.

I. Warm up
* Have ss play the game: Chinese whisper.
- Give the comment.
I.New lesson:
1. Listen and repeat. 
- Ask Ss to open their books on P.70
- Ask: - Who are they?
 - What are they talking about?
- Have ss listen to the dialogue.
- Play again and ask ss to repeat each line of the dialogue. Explain new the grammar: 
- Divide the class into two groups to play roles.
- Call some pairs to read aloud.
2. Look and say 
- Have ss look at the picture and identify the places in each picture.
- Present some more new words.
-Represent the grammar:
- Have Ss work in pairs to practice.
- Do picture a as a model.	
- Call some pairs to talk in front of the class.
3. Reinforcement:
- Have ss look at p.4 on page 71 and set the task: They are goin to play the game: Smiley face.

+ Ask ss to guess a letter one by one.
+ If the letter is wright, T write the letter in the space. If the letter is wrong, T draw a smiley face.
- Give the comments.
